The Discovery channel frequently advertises a show called Smash Lab (a rip-off of MythBusters) that gets K going. He insisted that none of the people on the show would have hung out with him or dated him in high school. They are "fake nerds" that he personally finds offensive. How he can tell, I don't know. I mostly find it amusing that he gets so bugged. But being that we were both admitted nerds in high school, I can understand some indignation. You can't be one now that it's cool, right?
K also says that the real reason he really hates the show is because it is way too overproduced, because he has now seen it and some of the "dudes ARE nerds."
Oh, and that "the chick would have never given him a second look."

Progress
It's funny how a set of blinds can change the way a room feels. K installed some last night in the new kitchen area, and it is starting to feel like we may be done with all the construction soon. Having a kitchen downstairs with us is going to change my life- seriously. I will be able to wander over in my robe, eat some breakfast, or do some dishes without worrying about being close to little T or looking presentable. There is still plumbing to be finished, countertops to be installed, a few more cabinets to be built and some final touches to the paint, but we are sooooo close.
Also, I wouldn't have guessed that IKEA cabinets could look so nice either. And yes, pull out drawers for pots and pans ARE exciting.

MomLog: the good, the bad and the ugly
On the plus side- Little T is starting to relax and go to sleep better. Hooray!
She is also really warming up to her jumperoo- she gets so excited to be in it and looks like she is dancing the way she rocks side to side in it.
On the negative side- She now prefers to be standing instead of laying down and playing. I am definitely building up my arm muscles.
And for the Ugly- I am loosing my hair. A LOT of my hair. Stunning amounts are falling out. Being a girl that has always shed a fair amount anyway, this is just sad. I know that it was supposed to happen after birth, but this seems like a delayed reaction after three months. Total Crap.

Just in case you were watching.
I have given up on the Apprentice. No Gene = No Fun to watch. Random Baldwin Brother = Boring. So sad.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I realize I have a problem. OK more than one, but I now have a new one to add to the list! I love to use the exclamation point, excessively, when writing. Using it makes me feel like I get my point across in a less stilted manner. It feels more lively and exciting than the boring old period.
For example:
The end.
or
The end!
See what I mean? If an Italian were saying something great, I imagine it would have an exclamation point on the end. Ciao! Buon giorno! I don't know why I am using that as an example, except that in my mind they seem like very passionate speakers.
OK, from now on, I'll try to cut back on the exclamation point, but instead please read my blog with an Italian accent in your head.
Grazie.

It's all the DVR's fault
SO I am hooked, AGAIN, to really, really bad TV.
My DVR had an setting to record the Apprentice from back in the day, and tonight, I was scanning the current offerings and found the Apprentice/Celebrity Version. I shouldn't have watched it, I know, but Gene Simmons (I KNOW) has become a favorite of mine on reality TV (Gene Simmon's Family Jewels is quite funny) and is on it. So I watched it and I am hooked.
Again.
Sorry, hunny! (Can you hear his sigh from there?)

A few ideas.....
The Braynes
Brown and Browner
Not Another Blog!
B-town or B-ville
K to the Z to the T

No clear winner yet, I'll wait and see what "Bright" has to say....
