Words that are not used often enough: Mangy, Caper, Rubbish.
I am on a
purging splurge. I know that a move is somewhere on the horizon. Things must go! It's refreshing and freeing. Oddly, I can't seem to let go of any sweaters.I don't know why. I really like all of them. And I want more.
Oh, my Birthday was lovely. Birthdays are hit and miss for me, I can be moody. T was up a lot the night before, but I felt good. We saw Dark Knight. Wow. Your body knows it is a long movie but you can't help but feel riveted. After we ate at Tiburon. Mmmmmm. That place is soooo yummy. Yes, I had the "majestic elk" as K refers to it. It was nice to be at a meal and just eat and talk, not entertain, feed, wipe, quickly eat and talk. K's sweet parents watched T for us, but unfortunately T cried every time that K's mom came in the room. Then she threw up. My poor girl! My poor in-laws! And they want to watch her again. I totally scored.
Another movie I finally saw recently- There Will Be Blood. Another Wow- but not in a good way. I just didn't get it. Sometimes I think the Academy is full of crap. The only good thing is that I get the SNL skit now. "I drink your milkshake!"
I wish I was in a swing state.
My face wash selection skills continue to be poor. As is my makeup selection skills. I tried to jump on the mineral makeup bandwagon, but I think it is making my skin unhappy. Am I going to have to hit up the mall makeup counters? I really don't want to- I find them oddly intimidating. It may be like my old gym phobia. I just need to go, get it over with, and wonder what all the fuss was about.
I love celebrating T's little milestones. Today she ate apple sauce with a spoon, by herself. She loved dipping her spoon in and savoring each bite, no matter how little made it on the spoon. (You could say she was enjoying the fruit of her labors, hahahahaaaaa...... Sorry.) She even passed up a Gogurt later in the day for another round. And that girl loves her some yogurt.
Things that are simultaneously enlightening and maddening: Recycling, Football season, Oprah.
